Nancy J. Beckley, MS, MBA, CHC

 

Nancy Beckley is a co-founder and President of Bloomingdale Consulting Group, Inc providing consulting services to the rehab professional.    Nancy is certified in Healthcare Compliance by the Healthcare Compliance Board, and serves on the Part A and Part B Provider Outreach Education and Advisory Panel for First Coast Services Options (Florida Medicare).  She previously servied on CMS's Professional Expert Technical Panel for Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities.

She organized and conducted the rehab industry's first compliance seminar ten years ago following the OIG publication of the first compliance guidance (for hospitals).

She is the author of a current book on rehab managed care contracting:  Managed Care for Rehab Providers Made Easy:  Mastering Contracts and Obtaining Fair Reimbursement

Her articles have appeared in a number of national publications and she serves on a number of editorial boards including Rehab Management Magazine.  She is the Contributing Editor for Briefings on Outpatient Rehab: Reimbursement and Regulations, and authors the Q & A column.  Several articles on rehab compliance have been published in Compliance Today.   Nancy also services on the Editorial Board of Rehab Management, as well as the Advisory Board of the Rac Report newsletter.

This past year Nancy also authored a book on therapy recruitment:  The Essential Guide to Recruitment and Retention: Skills for Therapy Managers

Nancy was a founding member of the National Rehabilitation Caucus, is a frequent speaker at the local and national level in rehabilitation, healthcare marketing and managed care, premiered the Managed Care Seminar Series for American Rehabilitation Association, and conducts seminars and training in rehabilitation.

Previously, Nancy held a number of management positions including Director of Managed Care & Business Development for Tampa General Hospital, a 1000 bed public tertiary teaching hospital system with a 60-bed freestanding rehabilitation center. A therapist by background and training, Nancy has served as a manager, program director, and facility executive director in rehabilitation facilities.

• MS degree from the University of Illinois
• MBA from the University of South Florida
• Completed the Harvard University Course for Managed Care Executives
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance

Nancy previously served on AMRPA’s Managed Care Steering Committee and has served on the Executive Marketing Committee of the Medical Rehabilitation Education Foundation.  She is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association and has spoken at their regional meeting.  She is a member NARA (National Association of Rehab Agencies), and has served as Program Chair for NARA's semi-annual conferences.
